The Digital Flow In Implant Dentistry
COURSE CANCELLED
Next Upcoming Session:
Description:
Overview
Technology in dentistry today accelerates the ease in which Implant Dentistry, along with general accuracy and efficiency can be accomplished within dental practices. This course allows the doctor to see how digital storage and transfer of information can streamline the practice of any general dentist doing implants. Intraoral photos along with digital imaging, especially CBCT technology, assist in accomplishing a diagnosis and treatment plan. CBCTs can yield printed or milled surgical guides that aide in implant placement. Digital scanning yields models from which restorations are fabricated as well as construction of removable partial dentures and full dentures. In the world of digital scanning we can reduce significantly the need for impression material as well as the space for model storage. Digital creates both a better workflow for the dentist and more efficient treatment for the patient.

After attending this lecture, participants should be better able to:
- Review digital records from charts to photos and radiographs
- Understand surgical guides and digital planning of implants
- Scan posts to replace impressions for implant crowns
- Understand digital crowns dentures and RPDS
- Discuss milling versus printing: where we are today
