Super Generalist: The Pathway to Independence and Fulfillment
Next Upcoming Session:
Description:
Overview
Super Generalist is a term that Dr. Malterud’s came across over 35 years ago while he was in dental school and upon graduation he embraced the term as a personal goal to guide his entire dental career. Through extensive training in basic bonding to complex implant and prosthetic restoratives dentistry, Dr. Malterud was able to help a significant number of his patients that may have otherwise been referred out. This lecture will explore the avenues available to expand your dental school training beyond the limits you may feel that you, as a general dentist, are restricted to.
Through presentations of various cases from simple to complex, utilizing technologies and techniques learned through experience and continuing education, participants will learn how they can help more of their patients and keep many procedures within the confines of their practices. We are not all interested in being everything to everybody but all of us are interested in learning more in areas that are of interest to us or that we have never been exposed to in depth and this course will help expand your knowledge into areas that you may not have thought about before.
Learning Objectives
After attending this lecture, participants should be better able to:
- Understand what procedures they may choose to perform for their patients.
- Recognize many new products, techniques, and procedures and how they can make the office more profitable.
- Identify the areas that they may want to seek out training to enhance their knowledge to provide services that their patients are seeking.
- Identify the places they may go to seek out advanced training.
- Understand the procedures that they can do if trained appropriately.
- Break-down any preconceived ideas of limitations they may have and instill the confidence to expand their platter of services to help more of their patients.
