Overview & Objectives

This hands-on course provides you with the tools, materials, and techniques to allow you to create durable, predictable, and esthetic restorations for both posterior and anterior teeth. The practical techniques you learn in this course will enable you to offer your patient cost-effective restorative solutions. After completing this course, participants should have a better working knowledge of:

  • Essential products and steps to maximize bonding
  • Bonding agents to use and those to avoid
  • Preventing brown lines and sensitivity with confidence
  • Molded injection direct composite bonding
  • Must-have matrix systems to build whole tooth composites
  • Maximized cementation of porcelain restorations
  • Use of photography to triage treatment and build trust
  • Building teeth from the inside out for maximum tooth longevity

Hands-on Workshop Includes:

  • Step-by-step bonding protocol form tooth cleaning to finishing
  • Fabrication of simple and complex posterior and anterior teeth
  • Composite restorations including essential matrix systems
  • Polishing techniques to high shine restorations

About the Presenters

  Bruce J. LeBlanc, DDS is a general dentist practicing in Baton Rouge and Morgan City, Louisiana. He lectures and has written for publications nationally and internationally on the subject of maximized adhesive solutions. He will present the adhesive lecture and the six-hour hands-on component of the course.   John M. Barksdale, Jr., DDS is a general dentist practicing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is an AACD-accredited member with fellowships in implant dentistry. He lectures nationally on combining esthetic excellence with implant placement. He will present techniques for immediate temporization of extraction sites with fixed
long-term temporization, using maximized adhesive.
Mike Robichaux, DDS is a general dentist practicing in Slidell, Louisiana. He lectures nationally on practice concepts that build trust between dentists, staff, and patients with lower practice stress. His presentation focuses on the use of photography combined with emotional intelligence behavior skills.

Course Location

The course will be held at LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry located five miles from downtown New Orleans next to historic Bayou St. John and beautify City Park. The dental school is about twenty minutes from downtown New Orleans by taxi.

For your return flight, please allow about 90 minutes for the trip to the airport and for airline check-in.
