Overview & Learning Objectives

Streamline your Practice with Digital Impressions:
Advancements in technology have allowed dental teams to replace traditional impression techniques and materials with simplified and cost-effective digital processes. Digital impressions have many advantages over traditional impressions. Dr. Radz will discuss these advantages and how to alter the operatory workflow to be more efficient and profitable. An emphasis will be placed on the practical application and integration of this technology. He will also present a review of the future potential of digital impressions. After attending the morning lecture, participants should be better able to:
  • Understand the limitations of conventional impression materials and techniques.
  • Know the workflow associated with digital impression systems.
  • Understand the advantages of digital scanning.
  • Discuss the real world applications and results and understand how to achieve better more predictable restorations using this technology.

Cosmetic Dentistry for Adolescents & Young Adults:
More and more dentists are seeing young patients who want to improve their smiles. The younger the patient, the more conservative our approach should be when enhancing their smile. Dr. Radz will discuss how to use predictable and conservative techniques to create beautiful smiles for young patients. The discussion will include bleaching, white spot removal/reduction, anterior direct bonding, transitional removable esthetic appliances, congenitally missing lateral replacement, soft tissue esthetics, and the use of no-prep veneers. The lecture will focus on various techniques and materials as well as treatment planning, case and material selection. After attending the afternoon lecture, participants should be better able to:
  • Determine conservative esthetic treatment options more appropriate for a younger patient.
  • Understand the psychology involved with image-related issues when dealing with this demographic.
  • Discuss the basic concepts of bonded dentistry.
  • Know the applications and indications of no-prep veneers.
